Peter Glenn, CPA
Peter Glenn joined the Nigro & Nigro Management Team in February 2011 and has worked in public accounting since 2008. 2 years after graduating from California State University, he became a licensed CPA.
Peter has a great knack for getting to know his clients and understanding their needs. His easy-going manner, combined with his dry sense of humor puts his clients at ease. His ability to break down complex situations and make them understandable is what his clients have come to appreciate about him.
He is currently working with a variety of clients which include school districts, charter schools, special districts, nonprofit organizations, as well as Indian tribal governments.
In his free time, Peter likes to follow the L.A. Dodgers, attend live concerts, run half marathons, read non-fiction, and he continues his lifelong search for the perfect sandwich.
Michael Klein, CPA, CMA, EA, CGMA
Michael Klein dedicates himself to serving the not-for-profit and charter school community with issues related to governance and financial management.
Having extensive experience volunteering and working with several of these organizations, Michael provides valuable insights to his clients. He helps his clients navigate challenging economic times and understand the complex accounting rules applicable to not-for-profit organizations.
Graduating from UC Berkeley in 2007, Michael later decided to pursue a career in public accounting and obtained his Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant designations to provide greater expertise and knowledge in the field.
Shaila Chamberlain, CPA
Shaila Chamberlain began her accounting career in the manufacturing industry after graduating from Texas Tech University. Nine years, and an MBA from Pepperdine later, she wanted to branch out to work in other industries, including broadcasting and small business consulting. In 2012, she began her career with Nigro & Nigro and has found her home.
Shaila enjoys developing relationships with her clients. Her diverse accounting background has given her a unique perspective. She is able to understand the pressures and demands her client’s face, having been “in their shoes”, but also has expertise in the laws and regulations that affect them.
She works within the firm’s Business Consulting Group (BCG), which provides, tax, accounting and consulting to clients in a wide range of industries. The BCG also provides engagement services, such as auditing, review, and compilation to for-profit and non-profit entities.
Shaila has been married for nineteen years and is a busy mother of two teenage daughters. When not chauffeuring them to their various activities, she enjoys any outdoor activity, including hiking, swimming and walking her dogs.
Andrew Whittington graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2013 and dove straight into public accounting. His experience has engrossed him in several different types of businesses including manufacturers, restaurants, distributors, and more. He has taken on a more significant role in governmental audits during his time at Nigro & Nigro, PC and continues to expand his wide range of knowledge and expertise.
Andrew enjoys getting to know his clients, building relationships, and assisting them with any new and emerging issues. His varied experience has given him a greater insight in finding the best solutions for any problems. He is always up for a new challenge in the ever-changing world of accounting and looks forward to finding the best solutions by thinking out-of-the box.
Andrew currently resides in Carlsbad where he enjoys running with his dog and spending as much time outdoors as he can.
